It doesn’t matter who you are
for in my eyes you are a star
and in this life we have to sail
on winds of truth, lies and fairy tales
winds of truth, lies and fairy tales
There was a story I once heard
Of a wolf and a girl
Or was it the one about the rose and the nightingale
People say it’s just fairy tales
But I know in them truth lies
And if they teach the power of love – then what does it matter?
Once there was a woman who was my friend
She helped me fight to be myself
So strong and smart she appeared to me
Now that she’s left my friends tell me
She never was what she wanted to be
But thanks to her I stand on my feet – so what does it matter?
I had a friend who liked this band
They sang songs by a man who drowned in his bed
There was a myth about his life and his death
And when he found out most of it was just tales
That it’s not his voice, he wanted to hate them
But the music stayed the same – so what does it matter?
There was a man all abut the truth
About ideals of chivalry love
But to tell the truth he pathologically lied
And though we aren’t even friends
There are no breaks that time can’t mend
And we had our moments right up to the end – so what does it matter now?
Indigo children lost in their quest
The sun is rising in the west
]I love you, what’s past is past
And only love there is to last
There’s always a light shining in the dark
And does it matter if it’s a star
Or will-o-wisp if it brought you here…
It doesn’t matter who you are
for in my eyes you are a star
and in this life we have to sail
on winds of truth, lies and fairy tales
winds of truth, lies and fairy tales
